Whedonopolis 2016's latest guest, actor Rudolf Martin, holds an interesting set of double records. He’s toyed with Sarah Michelle Gellar’s affections in two different series, and played Dracula twice in the same year in two different productions.
First appearing with Gellar during her Emmy-winning turn on All My Children, he returned a few years later to tempt her as the original Big Bad, Dracula, in the fifth-season premiere of the hit WB series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Then a month later, he again appeared as Vlad Tepes in the Kushner-Locke TV movie production of Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula.
A native of Germany, Rudolf studied at the Universite de Paris, before moving to theUS and attending the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where he landed his first professional role in the Academy Award nominated short film The Dutch Master, directed by Susan Seidelman.
Since then, the darkly handsome Martin has been featured in such series as 24, Star Trek: Enterprise, Judging Amy, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Stargate SG-1, Dexter, Nikita, and NCIS. For a complete listing of his credits, please visit http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0553020/
