David Fury is Guest of Honor WhedonCon 2017

David Fury is an Emmy, WGA and Saturn awards winning writer/producer best known to those of us reading this for “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and its spin-off “Angel”. Add to his resume Fox’s series’ “24”, “24: Live Another Day”, “Fringe” and “Lost”. David wore the director’s hat for assorted episodes of “Buffy” and “Angel” and one episode of “Alias”. As an actor, he got the mustard out of his dry cleaning in the Buffy musical “Once More with Feeling“, had a muppet’s hand up him in the Angel episode “Smile Time”, was the singing anchorman in “Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”, partied during “Much Ado”, and appeared on “24”. He’s currently writing and executive producing Amazon’s new series of Ben Edlund’s “The Tick”, which premiers in August 2017. Other notable writing credits include “Pinky and the Brain”, “24: Legacy”, “Hannibal”, HBO’s “Dream On”, and the sketch comedy series “House of Buggin’ “ with John Leguizamo. In the publishing world David contributed the story “The Glittering World” for the graphic novel “Tales of The Slayer” and has written and directed numerous stage productions in New York and Los Angeles.
